About Tamara

I’m Tamara Bliley, founder of Crown Mums. In 2001 I was introduced to the fascinating world of mums from a NCS judge, Francis McCormick. She invited me to the show and I was amazed and hooked! Joined the Portland Chrysanthemum Society and was mentored by another judge, Clair Kidd, who had the largest collection in Oregon. Grew my personal collection over several years and became an NCS Judge in 2012. As a judge, I am able to see who has what cultivars and build wonderful relationships within the chrysanthemum community. My intention is to bring my passion of mums to the community through sharing my collection, teaching in detail how to grow for pleasure or profit and networking within the chrysanthemum culture. This photo of me is from 2024, at the Las Vegas National Convention and Show, where I was awarded the prestigious NCS Gold Medal Award.

An incredibly heartfelt THANK YOU to the following flower community members, local and international friends in sharing and consenting to their photos to be displayed on the website! Including but not limited to Ivor Mace, John Peace, Lynn and Ron Seaton, Jim Vickerman, Alinna Lee, Leslie O’ Shae, Lori Peplinski, Lalka Paunska, and the BACS.
